πρόσωπον ἀναπλάσας καὶ παραλαβὼν <τὸ> <τὸ> Pertusi τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ Πέρσου, εἴτε κατ’ ἀλήθειαν, εἴτε κατὰ τὸ εὐπρόσωπον καὶ ἁρμόζον τῆι ὑποθέσει, ὡς ἂν μὴ δυσπρόσωπον εἴη ὡς ἂν μὴ δυσπρόσωπον εἴη Pertusi: ὡςιναδυσπροσωπον ειη m: ἵνα δύο πρόσωπα m καὶ ἵνα δόξηι ἐξ ἔριδος τῆς κατὰ τὸν ἀδελφὸν ἐπὶ τοῦτο ἐληλυθέναι·
He fashioned and introduced the character of his brother Perses, whether in accordance with reality, or because it was an attractive fiction and fitted with the subject matter, so that it would not be unappealing and so that he would appear to have come to the subject as a result of the quarrel with his brother.
