κοσμήσ̣[ας] ἔπεσιν, τῶν ἁ χάρις εἴη ἀείνως
καὶ γέν[ε]ος τὸ τέλος [κεί]νου κα[ὶ τοὔ]νομα σώιζοι.

a) Euthycles, son of Amphicritus dedicated (this) to the Muses, having adorned it with epic verses. May their grace be eternal and may they ensure the fulfilment of his race and preserve his name.

b) Thus facing you very aged, like a mortal, I, Helicon, not ignorant about the Muses, proclaim an oracle: ‘for those mortals who obey the precepts of Hesiod, there will be good order and the land will teem with fruits.’
