εἰ μὲν τὸν Ὀρφέως εἶχον, ὦ πάτερ, λόγον,

κηλεῖν τε τοῖς λόγοισιν οὓς ἐβουλόμην,
ἐνταῦθ’ ἂν ἦλθον· νῦν δέ, τἀπ’ ἐμοῦ σοφά,
δάκρυα παρέξω·
