ἐν δὲ τῶι Ἑλικῶνι καὶ ἄλλοι τρίποδες κεῖνται καὶ ἀρχαιότατος, ὃν ἐν Χαλκίδι λαβεῖν τῆι ἐπ’ Εὐρίπωι λέγουσιν Ἡσίοδον νικήσαντα ὠιδῆι.

On Helicon tripods have been set up as offerings, the oldest being that which they say Hesiod received in Chalcis on the Euripus when he was victorious in song.
