τὸ δὲ παλαιὸν ὁ τραγικὸς χόρος πεντήκοντα ἦσαν, ἄχρι τῶν Εὐμενίδων Αἰσχύλου· πρὸς δὲ τὸν ὄχλον αὐτῶν τοῦ πλήθους ἐκπτοηθέντος συνέστειλεν ὁ νόμος εἰς ἐλάττω ἀριθμὸν τὸν χορόν.
